Megan Walls, LMHC

My name is Megan Walls and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the State of Florida. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2020 with an MS in Counseling. During my graduate studies I was a part of Psi Chi Honor Society in NSU’s college of Psychology.  I was born and raised in Florida and had the pleasure of growing up here in Ormond Beach.

In my years of clinical practice, I have worked in Community Mental Health and in the school district as an LMHC. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of presenting issues, including behavioral problems, history of trauma, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and more. My practice primarily utilizes Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical- behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and person-centered practices to assist clients in finding the appropriate tools to cope with various life stressors. I have worked in Crisis Response and have training in Trauma Focused CBT.

When working with clients, I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to build the therapeutic relationship. I focus on meeting the client right where they are and assist in developing skills to improve overall quality of life.
